LatinitasMagazine.org - A Strong Voice for Latina Youth

Okay you guys, this was supposed to go in my school paper but it wasn't put in for different reasons. Not because it wasn't good! This had quotes in it before, so if you think the things she says are better off in quotes tell me! Cuz this is the internet and you can do that :P

Singing the first verse of “Bad Romance” Lady Gaga is seen wearing a spandex body suit with flashing light up bones of a dinosaur over her face and abdomen. After seeing such performances as these, I find myself for some reason intrigued when I hear that she is going to perform at and awards show because I like the feeling of never knowing what crazy outfit she’ll wear next.

Throughout her teen years, Gaga was the very opposite of what you would call popular and really didn’t fit in in high school and felt like a freak. So in result to that she wanted to create an atmosphere where her fans could fell free.

In response to that, she later invented these crazy fashions that are sometimes home made or made by an outrageous designer. So that she couldn’t be seen as the typical Hollywood type studded in the hottest designer fashions. She really wants to let her fans in on who she is and she says she wants them to know there’s a freak in her that they can hang out with.

From experience, Gaga knows what it feels like to feel discriminated against and avoided by others. Gaga dresses the way she does because she wants her “monsters” (die hard fans) to know that sometimes in life you don’t always feel like a winner, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t one.

yeah. I used to have that stuff in direct quotes, but then I had took them out because this was originally going to be in the commentary section of my school newspaper and they said there couldn't be quotes in a commentary so that's why they were put like that.

if you couldn't tell by my profile pic-- I LOVE GAGA!!!!!
As far as your actual composition is concerned, you should have put "really didn't fit in" and "like a freak" in quotes.
also in your last paragraph you shouldn't say "from experience, Gaga knows....." You don't know what your subject knows or doesn't know, unless of course you have a direct quote. Try instead "In recent interviews, Lady Gaga has expressed knowing what her fans feel like, because the pop star said she too was discriminated against and avoided by her peers when she was in school."
Hope this helps!

I love LAdy Gaga! She is VERY different but I feel she is real and the love and respect she has for her fans is awesome. I feel that all her "differentness" makes her the new and awesome POP icon in the world.
