With so much talk about how bad the economy is doing and how a lot of people don't have a big holiday budget, I think it is a smart idea to give heartfelt gifts that are creative. I'm making my own Christmas cards this year. Who needs store bought ones when hand-made cards are so much cuter? I'm also making some sweet treats:)

Every Christmas I dread not having enough money to get everyone I love their gift, but this year I decided that it wasn't such a big deal, and that ultimately the best gift is friendship and love. To express how much I love all of my friends and family I decided to learn to knit throughout the year, and make each person a scarf with their favorite colors. I concentrated on making about two a month, and by the end of the year I had all of them done and had only spent money on the yarn. The gifts were personalized and made with a lot of love.
