Teen Latinitas Leadership Institute

Attention Latinitas! This is your time to shine as a community leader! Any young Latinas who are interested in developing their leadership experience are invited to apply for the Teen Latinitas Leadership Institute. The Leadership Institute will kick off on February 27th at 9:00am at the Latinitas El Paso Headquarters located at 1359 Lomaland. The institute will consist of monthly workshops on leadership methods, decision making skills, goal setting, public speaking, civic engagement and volunteering. Participants will attend monthly classes, go on field trips, meet positive women role models, learn about their cultural heritage, build confidence and explore their own strengths. Young women will also engage in several interactive and entertaining activities that will help them identify and cultivate their own leadership abilities. Membership is open to Hispanic high school girls in grades 9-12, but space is limited. The deadline to submit completed applications is February 15th, so hurry and apply now! Members must be willing to commit to attending monthly workshops. The Institute membership fee is $25 per year and covers supplies for monthly workshops. A small number of scholarships are available on a need basis.
